Heard and respected: Their stories drive change

History is our strength

This month we honor women’s contributions to history, culture, and our communities. As we celebrate triumphs this month, we also refocus on what it means to create equality. We see Women’s History Month as an opportunity to share and learn from the stories of the women before us while continuing their impactful legacy in our culture and society.

Voices for change

The National Women’s History Alliance has announced the women’s history theme for 2023, “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories.” Women have long been instrumental in passing on our heritage in word and print to communicate the lessons of those who came before us. Women’s stories, and the larger human story, expand our understanding and connections with each other.

Women's History Month

Strengthening connections

While this month is a time of appreciation and celebration, it is also a time to honor those that paved the way. Women’s experiences help shape us, and their stories are commemorated from one woman to the next, creating a lasting bond while driving change for the next generation.
